A release date for The Portrait!

Everyone!

I have finally completed my edits and my proofreading, and gotten all the details squared away! The Portrait is going to be released on 31 December 2018!

Hip, hip, hurray!

You will be able to find The Portrait print volume anywhere books are sold, but the ebook will be on Amazon.com only. I expect this to change in the future as I figure out how this brave new world of publishing works in the twenty-first century. It seems that no sooner do I figure something out than I am confronted with change and yet more change. I am beginning to think that in many things, it doesn't make much sense to change at all, because your change will change yet again!

At the end of 2018, here is what I am cherishing:

• my fountain pen
• a keyboard that goes clackety-clack (yes, I had to buy this separately and specifically…there are keyboard afficionados out there, you know who you are!)
• my late father-in-law's manual typewriter
• vinyl records
• acoustic instruments
• sturdy clothing made with sturdy fabric
• leather goods made by hand

What about you?

And yet, I could not be publishing The Portrait without the changes in modern publishing. I am not a Luddite, but perhaps I am just sentimental.
